Caribbean Lover, December 25, 2010

This was a Christmas present for my husband who must have borrowed this DVD from the library 100 of times. He was very pleased to add this DVD to our DVD collection. This DVD was made a while ago but still covers Caribbean in a great detail. Highly recommended for everyone who loves Caribbean or who is planning to travel to Caribbean.

Great companion for visually-stimulated humans, February 26, 2009

I have to say… I totally disagree with the first 1-star review (and only one listed for this product). I borrowed this DVD from our local library and actually checked it out a second time… and would definitely consider buying it at this Amazon price.
First of all, if you have a guidebook (such as Fodor’s or Frommer’s), great… start there. But this is a great companion product for people like me who have been searching night and day on the internet for what to take pictures of on each port of my cruise. So, this was the most delightful answer to that quest.
Yes, it is short and to the point… but you can choose any (or all) of the islands on the Eastern Caribbean tours of most cruise companies, and you have more than enough to visually stimulate, and prepare you for a wonderful time in each port.
It can even help you make up your mind what you want to do at each port, by SEEING it
So, for that reason I give it 4 stars. It’s not perfect, but a great companion piece to a good tourbook. I suggest BOTH !!!

These tag protectors are perfect for Royal Caribbean cruisers. Just print your tags online w/Royal, fold & insert into the protector sleeve. Very sturdy, I didn’t have any issues or problems with the tags staying attached to my luggage.

I saw a comment about these on a Cruise Critic forum and decided to try them. Royal Caribbean has cruisers download paper tags which, despite folding instructions, are flimsy and subject to the elements on rainy days. These little doohickeys were perfectly sized to fit RC’s slim tags (I cut my tags out instead of folding them per instruction – which may have made them too bulky to fit these holders. These clear, plastic holders are simple, but sturdy and reusable.

Not much new information, unless you’ve read nothing about Tom Cruise and Scientology. I was hoping for more insight and instead got about as much info as reading People magazine. At least it does condense the info. I was hoping for more facts instead of the usual innuendos. I really was looking forward to finding out how Mr. Cruise was “Screwed by Scientology”. Instead, not so much.

I was really hoping there would be something new in this book, but as usual it’s got nothing a couple hours on the web will show you, in many cases far less. Woefully short, voting writing, and two blank pages added between chapters to make it appear longer, I can’t recommend this book. Save your money and peruse the many great sites on the subject.
